Paediatric dentistry

Invest in your child's health :-)

With our approach to children, visits become a pleasure and not a grim duty. Do you want to know our secret?

Why is paediatric dentistry important?

What youth is used to... won't avoid in old age. Visiting a dentist from an early age helps to develop such a needful habit of responsibility and awareness of health care. Most of today's parents remember very well their first visits in the dental practice. Hardly anyone came to the right place, in which the needs and expectations of a child were fulfilled. Fortunately, a lot has changed since that time. Our practice offers amenities which allow completely stress-free treatment of children's teeth. Our personnel loves working with little kids and makes sure that visits resemble play. A small gift waits for each little patient. We have our developed scheme, due to which each child will love dental visits. We pay special attention to the first dental appointments, during which the little ones have the time to get used to the interior and smell of our surgery. Such visits enable the child to make friends with a dentist and, subsequently, painless treatment. The most important issue which is addressed is the prevention of dental problems. Everyone should be under a constant dental care.

First tooth

It's best to familiarise your child with the surgery as early as possible. The first check-up should take place between 6 and 12 months of age, just after the emergence of baby teeth. Then the doctor checks the general development of the oral cavity and gives instructions regarding diet and taking care of the erupting teeth. Any early emergence of teeth or their later absence cannot be ignored. In such a situation, a consultation with the dentist is absolutely requisite. One must remember that the proper prevention of baby teeth results in measurable effects later in life, averting additional worries. It's also cheaper than treatment.

Surgical treatment of little patients

Injuries within the mouth are prevalent in children of all ages. Learning to walk as well as play always carry risk. Also many sport disciplines can prove to be a threat. It's not the reason to forbid our children from playing. However, it is important to ensure that the dentist makes a diagnosis after each such injury. If no displacement of baby teeth occurs, only observation is recommended. If a baby tooth moves, in extreme cases extraction should be considered. There are more reasons why the baby tooth extraction is the only solution, such as increased mobility caused by the erupting permanent tooth, the eruption of a permanent tooth next to a baby one, purulent fistulas and inflammation that cannot be treated conservatively. One should remember that the condition of the child's oral cavity and baby teeth greatly impacts the proper development of permanent teeth. Let's not treat baby teeth unfairly. Caries can spread from these to the permanent teeth which are already present in the mouth - and vice versa.

Orthodontic treatment of the youngest children

A baby tooth should remain in the little patient's mouth until the natural exchange of dentition. Premature extraction or loss can result in abnormalities of occlusion, such as crowding of teeth, incorrect teeth alignment or tooth impaction. First visits to the orthodontist are recommended around the age of three. This is the time when the child should already have all the baby teeth erupted. Removable orthodontic apparatus can be used from the age of four. The pantomographic image should be taken if at the age of 9 the child doesn't have these teeth. Early diagnosis of the problem will allow avoiding long, complicated and expensive treatment in the future.
